Glad to see you're back, as I just purchased a used Treo 650 that developed the ghost jack problem after just one week. Unless you recommend otherwise I'm going to try your fix as published myself- but if I find myself less than confident once I crack the case I'm turning right around and sending it off to you.

Thank you for your assistance either way!

I am in the Bay Area. How do I get you my phone. I think the problem occurs when the stereo adapter is used or the wired headset causes a short. Not sure

Hello Treotricks,
Do you have a screen (with digitiser) for sale for a treo 650.
I live in Spain and sending it registered is essential.

I have a broken audio jack that only works if I can push the headset plug hard to one side or another. The external speaker still works and the Treo still does the correct thing when detecting whether the headset is attached or not.

Can you fix this? If so, how do I get my Treo to you and how quickly is it returned. If not, do you have any suggestions for who can do this repair?

Thanks!!

Hello just wanted some things about treo 650 and treo 700wx.
I had my phone in to get fixed 4 time now and still there is a problem with it. They said the little chip board that has the camera on it is what the problem is. If I was to remove the one from a treo 650 and and put it in to my treo 700wx is there anyway it would work??

Thanks for your time.
Andrew

Treo tricks - I'd like to send you my Treo 650 for repair. Can you please email me at daves.miscmail@gmail.comĀ  your instructions on where and how to send my Treo -- OK if I pull my sim card, etc. etc. The repair I want done is to replace the broken audio jack with the standard jack you describe - and I have lost some lost screws that need replacing. The phone works fine except for the broken jack - and the missing screws. Thanks, Dave Hunt daves.miscmail@gmail.comĀ

i have a treo 650 and i dropped it the other day... the only problem that i have now with it is that the some of the buttons on the keyboard work and some work when you press them down really hard.. i was having someone look at it because they said that it might just be something inside hindering the buttons from going down all the way... i just wanted to kno if this is a major or minor problem and do you think it couls be fixed... thanks for your help

MY TREO 650 cuts out unexpectedly. Removing and replacing the battery seems to restart it, though when I put the case back on it often cuts out again.Have replaced the missing screws, and there are no obvious cracks in the circuit board.Any ideas? Could you fix it?
thanks

Hi Treo,
I've got a challenge for you. What would cause a Treo 650 to not recognize any SD card. The card used to work but now my phone won't beep when I push it in. The screen lights up which gives me hope, but card info shows no card. I've formated the card with my computer to FAT32 but my phone still doesn't recognize it. I have the latest 1.20 firmware and it's an unlocked GSM. I know you can't fix the phone yourself but I'm quite handy and have had numerous phones open before. If you have any bright ideas could you email me at esochett@uoguelph.ca?
Many Thanks for all the great repairs you've posted.

Evan

How did you hear about the license requirement for California?

Did the state contact you? This really stinks and I'm wondering what all was required? (ie. Did you have to get "PALM approved"?)

Thanks for your response!

It's a little frustrating as I'm handy with these things and was thinking about doing this for extra cash.

I have a Palm Centro, my wife is a mortgage broker and I broke her centro audio jack (really, it just failed). I've had it apart, and I have good micro soldering skills, do you know where I could get a new jack, this one is literally cracked and the "on" (as in the jack thinks the plug is inserted) switch is on permanently (although I fixed it for awhile it's just too bent now).

If you have any idea where to get a new jack, please let me know. This is going to seem really silly, but I couldn't find a "contact" on your page, could you respond to infoaml@yahoo.com?

Thanks!

William

I have a Palm Centro that has this same headphone jack issue. I can wiggle a paper clip on the side of the port and it works, but it won't stay. Will doing this cooper bridge fix the problem for centro as well? Thanks for your time and consideration.
